From the towering Redwoods to rugged coastlines, research and choose a spot that resonates with your love story. Maybe it’s a place you both have visited together or have dreamed about seeing? 2. Check Permits: Many natural areas require permits for ceremonies and photography. Make sure you’re aware of the rules and obtain any necessary permits to keep your adventure hassle-free. Working with me, I’ll take care of this for you!

It rains a lot in Northern California. Like, a LOT, a lot. And the fog of the Redwood Coast can make any ceremony instantly majestic! On my own wedding day, it poured all morning, was sunny and beautiful for the ceremony and photos, and then poured on our way out! And I LOVED it. It worked out perfectly. Marriage is an adventure, after all! Let’s embrace it while we celebrate your love!
10. Share Your Story: Don’t forget to share your unique love story with your friends and family. They will be SO grateful that you have beautiful photos documenting your special day. You can even make an event of it! Maybe have an after party inviting all your loved ones, and then throw those gorgeous photos up on a slide show for everyone to see!
